Client reviews: they trusted us
Nothing replaces what clients write themselves. Below are the verified Google reviews of Prometheus Détective Privé clients, individuals, business owners and legal professionals who engaged our CNAPS-licensed Paris agency.
✓ CNAPS licensed · Professional secrecy · Reviews published on Google, unfiltered
A private detective’s reviews read differently from a restaurant’s: our clients testify about sensitive matters, often under initials, never in detail. This page explains how to read those reviews, how to verify their authenticity, and how we protect everyone’s anonymity.
Why do so few detective agencies display their reviews?
Because the profession cultivates secrecy, and many agencies extend that secrecy to their own reputation. We do the opposite: discretion protects our clients’ cases, not our work. Our reviews are public, verifiable on Google, and clients testify anonymously or under initials.
There is a real tension in this profession: how do you prove the quality of work you cannot talk about? Some firms resolve it by displaying nothing, take their word for it. We chose the opposite, with one strict safeguard: clients who speak about the relationship (listening, responsiveness, clarity of the quote, usefulness of the report) without ever touching the content of their case. That is exactly what you will read below: no investigation details, nobody identifiable, by design. The same transparency principle governs our public rates, rare in this field.
How can you verify that a detective’s review is authentic?
Three reflexes: check that reviews live on a genuine Google listing (not quotes pasted on the website), cross-check the agency’s CNAPS licence on the official register, and beware of perfect ratings with no text, a recent profile with clustered reviews is a red flag.
Concretely: our reviews live on our Google Business Profile, where Google time-stamps each review and shows its author’s profile, none of which we can edit. The agency’s legal existence can be checked on the CNAPS online register (the French private-security regulator): our authorisation appears in this site’s footer. Finally, read the texts rather than the stars: a detailed review about the quality of listening or of a report says more than a bare rating. Our page on how to choose the best private detective in Paris details the objective criteria.
How do we protect our clients’ anonymity in reviews?
Professional secrecy under article 226-13 of the French Criminal Code covers every case, including after the assignment. We never publicly confirm that someone was a client, we only answer reviews with neutral thanks, and we never encourage anyone to describe their case.
When you leave a review, you control what you reveal: many clients pick a pseudonym or initials and describe the service without its context. On our side the rule is absolute: our public replies thank without ever validating a fact (“thank you for your trust”, never “glad we documented your employment case”). Even a negative review gets an answer that confirms neither the assignment nor its subject: article 226-13 knows no commercial exception. That is also why no testimonial is hard-copied onto this page: reviews stay on Google, in their verifiable context.
What do our clients say about our investigations?
Best read them directly: the reviews below are pulled in real time from our Google listing, we choose neither their order nor their content, and none is manually reproduced on this site. Three themes recur: the clarity of the first consultation, the quality of the reports, and discretion.
These reviews come from individuals (mostly family matters), business owners and legal professionals who entrust us with recurring files. If something in a review resonates with your own situation, the team that answered it is the one that will receive you: we are a human-scale firm, not a platform.
How do you leave a review after your assignment?
Through the button below, which opens the review form of our Google listing directly, the only channel we use. Two precautions: never mention any detail of your case, and know that a pseudonym or your initials protect your anonymity without weakening the testimony.
Your feedback counts double in a profession without advertising: it helps other people in difficult situations identify a reliable professional, and it tells us what to improve. If something did not meet your expectations, tell us first through the contact page, we answer fast, then in a review if you find it useful: we never ask for a sincere review to be withdrawn.
